Staff was super friendly and helpful. Thanks to Sumit at the front desk and Ranjit & team up in the 7th floor breakfast & dining area. Selection was delicious with a view of the ocean in the morning. Dinner options really good too, try the kuhlimas Maldivian chili tuna dish for local flavor (Santano, thanks for this recommendation!) And depending on the weather, you can eat either in cooled air conditioning inside or outside in the tropical evening clime. Front desk team coordinated not only airport pick up/drop off service but also rides to the speedboat dock for side trips to and from the resort islands. Thanks so much for all the help with the logistics. The airport is less than 10 minutes away and the city of Male is approximately 20 minutes by taxi. After experiencing the congestion and traffic density of Male, do consider Hulhulmale as a more relaxed environment. There's a food store, Red Wave, just a few blocks away for finding basic provisions. Main shopping street just one block away for restaurants and food stands. (Be sure to eat at Ocean Grand, though, good menu and reasonable prices). Make this your home away from home when coming to Male & the Maldives.

Nestled amidst the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, the Ocean Grand Hotel in the Maldives is a dreamscape come true. From the moment I stepped foot on the island, I was enveloped by an aura of tranquility and luxury that permeates every corner of this exquisite resort.The highlight of my stay undoubtedly was my overwater villa—opening the sliding glass doors revealed a panoramic vista of the vast sea stretching as far as the eye could see. Waking up to the gentle lapping of the waves against my private deck and the endless expanse of cerulean blue was nothing short of magical. Each sunrise painted the sky with hues so vivid, it felt like nature's masterpiece crafted exclusively for me.Service at the Ocean Grand Hotel surpassed all expectations. A testament to this was an early morning surprise when, having to catch an early flight, I found the hotel staff had gone above and beyond to prepare a breakfast basket filled with delectable treats, fresh fruits, and warm pastries. This thoughtful gesture ensured my day began on the best note possible, even before the sun had fully risen.Speaking of the staff, they were the embodiment of warmth and attentiveness. Every encounter was met with genuine smiles and a can-do attitude. Special mention goes to Ahmed, my personal concierge, whose meticulous planning ensured my stay was seamless and memorable. His local insights added an authentic touch to my experiences, from arranging a star-lit dinner on the beach to organizing a snorkeling adventure amidst vibrant coral reefs.Dining at the hotel's various restaurants was a culinary journey in itself. The freshest seafood, combined with international flavors, created dishes that were both artful and divine. The sunset views from the rooftop bar, paired with skillfully crafted cocktails, were the perfect accompaniment to cap off evenings under the twinkling Maldivian sky.

The staffs were amazing. They really took good care of us. I would specially mention Vineesh (Airport representative), he is a true asset to your hotel. Vineesh met us at the airport upon arrival and during departure from the hotel. He was with us all the way till we check in at the airport during departure and made sure we are comfortable. A big thank you for all the help you have given us. I highly recommend your hospitality skills to anyone needing any assistance at the Male Airport. Tanmay from the reception and Ranjith from your restaurant was also very courteous and helpful.

Room was big enough and bed very comfortable. Power from the shower was great. Everywhere is clean and smells nice. The airport transfers made travel easy. The staff is wonderful - professional, friendly, very helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The Indian Ocean is across the street. The last day we had a late evening flight and we were able to get a late check out which was great. We ate at the rooftop restaurant and food was excellent and staff amazing. You can enjoy the ocean view while eating. The staff couldn’t do enough for us.
